People in ancient Greece were polytheistic, which means they believed in many gods. The two major cities in Ancient Greece are Sparta and the Athens. They both had their own way of education, and believed in anonymous things but they agreed on others.The greek had very important temples that symbolized their beliefs towards religion. They believed in many gods and goddesses and they all had control in a particular area of life. There’s a famous temple in the town of Delphi that represented the god Apollo. Greeks had many myths. The home of the gods was located on top of Mount Olympus in Greece. There were mainly twelve gods and goddesses often called the, Olympian gods. They were all part of the everyday life in Greece.
Spartans Beliefs The spartans believed the purpose of education was to produce men and women who could protect the city-states. The spartans believed that it was important to be a brave soldier. The legacy of the spartans was not only rooted in their martial ability but in their ability to unite body and mind. This belief influenced the way people lived because it made their mind set to be fit and strong. Athenian Culture The Athenians believed it was good for them to get their ideas and knowledge of art and architecture out to other cities. Athenians also believed it was necessary to build a strong relationship with other city states so they could grow in power through trade. These beliefs and gestures of the wise athenians was influenced because it helped them out through their daily lives, and for them being friendly they didn't have to worry about many tragic wars. |
